Veltre’s Pizza has been proudly serving Pittsburgh since 1978, carrying on a tradition that began even earlier with our family’s love for authentic Italian comfort food. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975, I partnered with my brothers to open Veltre’s Brothers Pizzeria right here in the city. Those early days shaped our commitment to quality—fresh ingredients, handcrafted recipes, and a passion for feeding our community well.

When Veltre’s Pizza opened its own Pittsburgh location in 1978, we brought that same dedication to excellence along with the family recipes that have been passed down through generations. Over the years, our menu has expanded to include not only our famous handcrafted pizzas but also Italian dogs, calzones, buffalo wings, steak subs, and a variety of classic favorites made with care and top-quality ingredients.

I called twice within the wake and both of the young ladies that answer the phone and took my order were very courteous. I know they work as a team however this was an individual who took it upon herself in this case both young ladies, to extend professionalism and courtesy when I went to tip I was told that they have a community tip jar. I'm not against that it's just that when someone goes above and beyond I think they should be awarded for it I was sad to hear that was not possible
